Police Pay Tribute To Officials Who Sacrificed Their Lives
LAHORE, (Muzaffargarh.City – 3rd Dec, 2018 ) :The Police Department and the nation pay tribute to the officers and officials who sacrificed their lives and got injured for protection of lives and property of people.
This was stated by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Amjad Javed Saleemi while addressing two different functions at central police office, here on Monday.
He said a parallel process of reward and punishment is going on in the police department. In the first ceremony held in this regard, 60 best officers and officials from all provinces, who showed extraordinary performance, were given commendatory certificates and cash rewards. The second ceremony was about meeting of 40 officers with IG Punjab who were promoted from DSP to SP rank during this week. DIG Headquarters Babar Bakht Qureshi and AIG Discipline Zubair Dareshak were also present at this occasion.
In the ceremony, cash prizes worth Rs 2,065,000 were distributed among 60 officers from six districts and officials of the CPO.
Among the recipients of prizes, 16 were from district Faisalabad, 14 from DG Khan, 10 from central police office, 9 from Muzaffargarh, 7 from Jhang,3 from Toba Tek Singh and one from Multan. Two women police officers were also given prizes.
The IG said on the occasion that 342 inspectors had been promoted on 800 vacant posts of inspectors so far, whereas a promotion board would be held on Dec 4 for the remaining and the process would go on to fulfil the process of appointment on vacant posts.
Responding to a query, the IGP said that for restoration of law and order in previous days, cases of treason against four individuals and 7-ATA against 20 individuals were registered. He said that about 2,900 persons had been arrestedand their cases were being examined.
