Wheat Crop On 417 Acre Land Of Koray Khan Trust Auctioned

MUZAFFARGARH, (Muzaffargarh.City – 10th Apr, 2017 ) : In compliance with the orders of Supreme Court, a committee headed by deputy commissioner auctioned the wheat crop standing on 417 acre land of Sardar Koray Khan Trust for over Rs 2.6 million here on Monday.

The auction was held after the land was got vacated from illegal occupants at Mauza Kora of tahsil Jatoi and deputy commissioner Muhammad Saif Anwar said that the resources obtained from the auction would be utilized for the welfare of people.

He said that illegal occupants had been earning illegally from this land since 1947. He added that the standing wheat crop of the trust was auctioned for the first time and it would increase the income of the trust.

He said that this land would be given on rent to suitable candidate so that the trust could obtain resources on a regular basis.

He said that to ensure transparency in the auction process, chairman Zila Council Sardar Omar Khan Gopang, director local government DG Khan Azhar Hussain Chandia (Commissioner’s representative), ADCG Muhammad Shahzad Magsi, Assistant Commissioner Jatoi, Aurangzeb and Prof.

Iftikhar Hashmi were inducted in the committee as members. ADCG Shahzad Magsi said that the auction was advertised well before its schedule date and it began from the official bid price of over Rs 2.2 million.

Two persons namely Abdul Maalik and Nasir Khan participated in the auction and Nasir won it by placing the highest bid of over Rs 2.6 million. He also deposited one third of the bid on the spot as per rules.
