Smog Affects MEPCO Transmission System

MULTAN,(Muzaffargarh.City – 08th Nov, 2017 ) :General Manager Operation MEPCO Engineer Sarfraz Ahmad Hiraj said that transmission system had badly affecting by somg causing tripping problems.

He said that duties had been assigned to grid system operation (GSO Wing) officials and staff at grid stations under the directions of CEO MEPC Engineer Muhammad Akram Chaudhry. He said that staff had been directed to remain present at grid stations across the MEPCO region from 12:00 pm to 5:00 am so that electricity supply could be restored in case of fault at MEPCO lines.

Hiraj informed that NTDC circuits 220 KV Muzaffargarh to Bahawalpur were affecting badly from which 25 grid stations of MEPCO connected with this line were interrupting. Meanwhile, Superintending Engineer MEPCO Multan circle Muhammad Akram Bhatti has suspended meter supervisor-II MEPCO Qasba Maral sub-divison Muhammad Shafi for negligence.

Further interrogation against the suspended employee has been launched.
