PGSHF Hands Over 1341 Houses To Govt Servants

LAHORE, (Muzaffargarh.City – 11th Oct, 2017 ) :The Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation has handed over houses to 1341 servants from Grade 1 to 22 in the provincial capital so far while 9500 retired employees have been allotted plots in other big cities.

Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation (PGSHF) Managing Director Dr Pervaiz Ahmad told APP on Wednesday that new schemes situated in Muzaffargarh (2000 Kanals), Lodheran (2125 kanals), Faisalabad (5500 kanals), Bahawalnagar and Chishtian (3129 kanals) Bhakkar (1500 kanals) and Jhang (1600 kanals) were ready to be launched.

He said that it was decided to launch housing schemes for the government employees in Lahore and Rawalpindi under private-public partnership. He informed that a project of modern towers had also been launched in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Sahiwal where apartments with all modern facilities would be constructed.

He said that PGSHF had conducted ballot thrice during the current year in which 3500 members were allotted plots, while schemes were under construction in Sialkot, Sahiwal and Khanewal. “All pending cases of members of all PGSHF schemes will be resolved”,he assured.

He stated that only development charges were received from the retired government employees in the province while the government provided land free of cost for welfare of the employees. To a question, Dr Pervaiz said that the PGSHF started its working in 2004-05 and initially houses were given to the government employees on their retirement.

To another question, he said that PGSHF had successfully completed its projects within the given time frame and new schemes would be launched in Jehlum, Sheikhupura, Okara, Sahiwal and Sargodha in future.
