Multan Electric Power Company Saves Rs 1.2b By Decreasing 0.71% Line Losses

MULTAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 10th Jan, 2019 ) :Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) has saved Rs 1.2 billion by bringing 0.71 percent decrease in distribution line losses during July to December 2018.

According to Mepco sources, progressive line losses were 12.29 percent in the previous year of Multan circle and now it has been decreased to 10.59 percent and remained at top position across the region in decreasing line losses.

Line losses in DG Khan circle has been decreased to 0.40 percent, 0.04 percent in Vehari circle, 0.30 percent in Bahawalpur circle, 0.73 percent in Sahiwal circle, 0.77 percent in Rahim Yar Khan circle, 1.35 percent in Muzaffargarh circle and 0.48 percent decrease in line losses has been noticed in Khanewal circle.

CEO Mepco Engineer Muhammad Akram Chaudhry said that efforts would continue to ensure zero line losses across the region.
