Anti-polio Awareness Among Masses To Reduce Cases
MUZAFFARGARH, Apr 8 (Muzaffargarh.City – 08th Apr, 2017 ) : Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Saif Anwar said on Saturday that awareness among masses was key to get 100 percent results against polio virus.
Presiding over a meeting to review polio drive arrangements, he said that nation had to win fight against polio in order to secure the future of new generation. He directed the departments concerned to play their role in making anti-polio drive successful.
He asked them to create awareness among masses against the disease. He said that foolproof security would be ensured to polio teams and campaign would be started at riverine areas before the time.
He directed the officers concerned to ensure free medicines and treatment in all hospitals. Giving briefing on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer Health Dr Shahid Hussain Magsi informed him that 1793 polio teams had been constituted for anti-polio drive going to be started from April 17 to 20.
He said that 3488 polio workers would administer anti-polio drops to 832,312 kids under five years of age across the district. Dr Akhtar Farooq, Dr Imran, Dr Abdul Raoof, Dr Khalid Mehmood and other concerned officers were also present in the meeting.
