More Hostels For Working Women To Be Set Up: Minister

LAHORE, Apr 3 (Muzaffargarh.City – 03rd Apr, 2017 ) : Punjab Minister for Women Development Department (WDD) Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din on Monday said that under women packages, more hostels for working women would be established in the province.

She was presiding over a meeting of managers of 16 working women hostels, here on Monday. The meeting reviewed in detail progress on working women hostels across Punjab. Director WDD Tahir Ali briefed the meeting about provisions of missing facilities, repair and rehabilitation work of hostel buildings, administrative affairs and problems in detail.

Managers of working women hostels established in Lahore, DG Khan, Vehari, Gujranwala, Muzaffargarh, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Multan, Sargodha and Rahim Yar Khan apprised the chair about existing capacity, repair, maintenance and missing facilities.

The meeting was informed that repair work had been started in the hostels. The minister directed the meeting participants to review the standrad operating procedures (SOPs) and fill the vacant posts accordingly. She said that inspection of hostels should be carried out on quarterly basis.
