200 Grounds Being Upgraded: Hanif Abbasi

DERA GHAZI KHAN, Apr 4 (Muzaffargarh.City – 04th Apr, 2017 ) : Chairman Steering Committee Sports Punjab, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said that 200 sports grounds were being upgraded in the province.

Chairing a meeting here on Tuesday, he said that the construction of 48 gymnasium, 23 E-Libraries, 25 Astro Turf and 22 Synthetic Ground would soon be completed. The gymnasiums would be made easily accessible to poor sportsmen instead of making these as officer clubs.

Similarly, he also gave approval of upgradation of 15 sports grounds in DG Khan division.

He instructed officials to ensure quality work, install fine grass, generators and floodlights and some other possible facilities in these grounds.

Earlier, officials briefed the Chairman that Rs 310 millions were being spent on 13 schemes and work on these schemes would be completed within stipulated time period. On the occasion, Commissioner DG Khan Division Allah Rakha Anjum also instructed Deputy Commissioners of Layyah, Rajanpur, DG Khan and Muzaffargarh to pay focus on timely completion of sports schemes.
