417 Deputationists, 307contingent Paid Staff Working In BISP

ISLAMABAD, (Muzaffargarh.City – 14th May, 2019 ) :As many as 417 deputationists and 307contingent paid staff are working in the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) against the vacant posts of Sindh quota.

Against the 4133 sanctioned strength, 1687 BISP employees regular and contractual are in position and 2446 posts are lying vacant, sources in the organization told APP.

The sources said that the total quota of Sindh against the sanctioned strength comes to 999 posts against which 158 employees are presently employed.

They said that vacant posts of Sindh province would be advertised as per requirement of the programme after notification of BISP Employees Service Regulations 2019.

To a question, they said there were 37,377 number of poor registered as beneficiaries in District Muzaffargarh at the time of BISP’s inception in July, 2008.

The beneficiaries of phase-I (Parliamentarian phase who could not meet the eligibility criteria of Phase-II (Poverty Scorecard Survey) were excluded from the list of beneficiaries and the number of such excluded beneficiaries was 24,916.

They said that resurvey/national rollout in the entire country is underway in the form of update of National Socio Economic Registry and the country has been divided in eight geographical clusters.

The survey in cluster 3 covering district Muzaffargarh would be started soon as firm has been hired by BISP for data collection in Muzaffargarh district, the sources added.
