Sardar Usman Buzdar Vows To Provide Best Transport Facilities To People

LAHORE, (Muzaffargarh.City – 6th Nov, 2018 ) :Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday expressed his resolve to ensure provision of the best transport facilities to the general public, besides facilitating the traders investing in transport sector.

In a meeting with Daewoo Transport Company (DTC) Chairman Shehryar Chishti here at his office, he discussed various proposals regarding promotion of transport sector and provision of the best transport facilities to people.

During the meeting, it was decided to increase the scope of Speedo buses to remote areas of southern Punjab to provide relief to people living there. The government was giving priority to backward areas and development of such areas would help decrease the trend of migration to major cities of the province, CM said.

Usman Buzdar said that Lodhran to Bahawalpur Speedo bus service has been restored and such buses would also be started in Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan and Muzaffargarh. He further said that proposal to allow travel on Speedo buses without card was being reviewed and it was expected that this step would help increase substantially the number of passengers.

He proposed the Daewoo should review the prospect of increasing its operations to Balochistan and other areas to provide relief to the people living there.

Shehryar Chishti assured that DTC would continue its cooperation with Punjab government in transport sector. CEO Daewoo Faisal Ahmed Siddiqui, GM Zaheer Hasan, Secretary Transport and others officers concerned were also present.
