ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (Muzaffargarh.City – 09th Feb, 2017 ) : The government has released Rs 6,890.548 million to various projects of water sector out of Rs 31,716.370 million allocated in the budget under annual Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2016-17 so for.

According to the data of the Planning Commission, a sum of Rs 1000 million each was released for Kachhi Canal Project (Phase-1) and Darwat Dam Jamshoro, Rs 200 for Construction of Small storage dams in Sindh, Rs 160 million for Lining of Distributaries and Minors in Sindh, Rs 1200 million for Nai Gaj Dam, Rs 220 million for Makhi Farash Link Canal Project (Phase-II) and Rs 90 million for Normal Annual Development Programme.

As amount of Rs 400 million was released for construction of 100 Delay Action Dam in Balochistan, Rs 160 million for Construction of 20 Small dams in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Rs 240 million for construction of Basool dam (Gwadar), Rs 120 million for Kurram Tangi dam, Rs 400 million for Raising of Mangla Dam Project, Rs 280 million for Remedial Measures to Control Waterlogging (Muzaffargarh), Rs 360 million for Remodeling of Warsak Canal in Peshawar and Nowshera, Rs 334.548 re-construction of Shadi Kour Dam (Gwadar) and Rs 120 million for rehabilitation of irrigation system in KPK.
