Rs 1.64bn Being Spent On DG Khan Schools, Health Centres

DERA GHAZI KHAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 17th Jan, 2017 ) : Additional Commissioner Coordination and Director Development and Finance Azfar Zia said on Tuesday that Rs 1.64 billion were being spent to upgrade education and health facilities in far-flung areas of the division.

During inspection of on-going development schemes, Azfar said that over Rs 905 million were being spent to build afresh buildings of 341 dilapidated schools under the development plan 2016-17. Moreover, Rs 590 million has been allocated for 565 schemes to provide missing facilities at schools in DG Khan, Layyah, Rajanpur and Muzaffargarh districts.

He said that additional classrooms would be built at selected schools under a Rs 61.8 million scheme. Also, Rs 90 million are being spent to upgrade infrastructure at DHQ and THQ hospitals and twelve schemes were under execution.
