Punjab CM Inaugurates Muzaffargarh DHQ Hospital’s Extension
Muzaffargarh, (Muzaffargarh.City – 26th May, 2018) : Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday inaugurated the extension of the District Headquarters (DHQs) Hospital, Muzaffargarh, including CT scan machine, Hepatitis Filtration Clinic and the trauma centre.
Ministers, lawmakers, local Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leaders and workers, Secretary Health and concerning officials were also present on the occasion. Special Duha was offered after the inauguration of the mega projects worth 53 crore and 30 lakh rupees.
The Chief Minister inspected in detail the emergency, OPD, operation theatre and other wards. He also reviewed the newly constructed mega project at cost of 39 crore and 76 lakh rupees. He said the standard of medical facilities and wards of DHQ Muzaffargarh are not lesser than from any top quality hospital.
Talking to patients and their attendants, Shehbaz Sharif inquired from them about medical facilities and provision of medicines. A patient told the chief minister that you have won our hearts. The Chief Minister also inquired about health of patients admitted to the hospital and prayed for their early recovery.
He talked to an elderly patient in Saraiki.
He was pleased to see modern CT scan machine and other latest equipment in the hospital. Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said health culture in Punjab has been changed and patients of Muzaffargarh will not need to visit to Multan for CT scan.
The fee of CT scan will be provided by the Punjab government and it will work round-the-clock. The Chief Minister also visited the trauma centre constructed at the cost of Rs. 11 crore and said the centre was drastically needed.
He said presence of doctors, staff and medicines should be ensured in the centre. He also inspected various parts of Hepatitis filtration clinic. He said this clinic is gift for the people of Muzaffargarh.
He said the patients in the hepatitis clinic can take advice from medical staff in PKLI Lahore. He said the Punjab government has invested billions of rupees to provide latest medical facilities to the people.
He said DHQs have been upgraded and modern CT scan machines are being installed in all DHQs. State-of-the-art pathology labs have also been set up in DHQs. He said the measures taken by the Punjab government in the health sector have produced positive results.
