NAB Multan Takes Notice Of 15,000-acre Occupied Land

MULTAN,(Muzaffargarh.City – 21st july,2016) : Director General, National
Accountability Bureau (NAB), Multan, has taken cognizance of over 15,000 acres of land under illegal occupation of land-grabbers in South Punjab and sought a detailed report from the Irrigation Department in this regard.
The NAB Multan has taken cognizance of corruption worth billions of rupees being caused through illegal occupation of lands, owned by the Irrigation Department, in areas of Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Multan. So far, 15,205 acres area of Irrigation Department has come to notice, says a release issued by NAB Multan spokesman.

According to details, 144 acres, one kanal and 13 marla area was being occupied in Rajanpur, 247 acres, 6 kanal and 16 marla in Dera Ghazi Khan, 667.8 acres in Muzaffargarh, 1,545 acres at Panjnad Headworks in Tahsil Alipur, 288 acres, 5 kanal and 6 marla in Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh, 9,025 acres area at Taunsa Barrage, Muzaffargarh, 10.23 acres at Sidhnai Barrage, Abdul Hakim, 2,854 acres at islam Headworks, Pallah, 0.077 acre at Multan Canal
division, and another 424.06 acres at Shujabad canal division of
Multan.
