NAB All Set To Take Action Against Electricity Defaulters

MULTAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 06th Feb, 2017 ) : National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Multan has decided to issue summons to defaulters of electricity in Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) and vigorously pursue recovery from them.

A meeting was held here on Monday at NAB Multan to accelerate recovery from electricity defaulters of MEPCO. Director Investigation NAB Abdul Hafeez Khan chaired the meeting and it was also participated by Superintendent Engineers and Deputy Commercial Managers of MEPCO Circle Offices Multan, DG Khan, Vehari, Muzaffargarh and Electricity Defaulters Recovery Cell (EDRC) Officers of NAB Multan, said a press release issued here.

Director NAB Multan directed MEPCO Officials to disconnect electricity connections of all defaulters and also provide their details in order to speed up the process for recovery. He issued instruction to MEPCO Officials to share progress report to NAB Multan on every third day.

NAB Multan also decided to issue summons to the defaulters. He maintained that the defaulters of electricity should clear dues at earliest otherwise legal/penal actions would be initiated against them.
