Multan Electric Power Company Upgrades 1,610 Transformers
MULTAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 23rd Apr, 2018 ) :Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) has upgraded 1,610 transformers at a cost of over Rs 361.6 millions during fiscal year 2017-18 for providing new connections to consumers and system improvement.
The transformers which were upgraded included six transformers of 10 to 15 KV, 55 of 10 to 25 KV, 102 of 15 to 25 KV, 557 of 25 to 50 KV, 553 of 50 to 100 KV, 311 of 100 to 200 KV, 13 of 25 KVA, 64 more of 50 KV, 142 of 100 KVA and seven more of 200 KV.
The company has enhanced capacity of 188 transformers at a cost of over Rs 41.6 million in Multan circle, 211 transformers at a cost of over Rs 63.
9 million in DG Khan circle, 30 in Vehari circle at a cost of Rs 17.2 million, 397 in Bahawalpur circle at a cost of Rs 50 million, 80 in Sahiwal circle at a cost of Rs 29 million and 198 transformers in Rahim Yar Khan circle at a cost of about 64.1 million.
Similarly, 309 transformers in Muzaffargarh circle at a cost of Rs 47.6 million, 109 in Bahawal Nagar circle at a cost of Rs 33.8 million and 88 transformers had been upgraded in Khanewal circle at a cost of over Rs 31.9 million from July- 2017 to March-2018, said a release issued here on Monday.
