Multan Electric Power Company Imposes Rs 2.1m Fine On 90 Power Pilferers

MULTAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 27th Dec, 2018 ) :Task Force of Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) have imposed fine Rs 2.1 millions on 90 power pilferers during a crack down across 13 districts of the region here on Thursday.

According to Mepco office sources, task force alongwith district administration and police, launched a crack down and caught 90 power pilferers. The task force imposed fine Rs 2.

1 million on them for stealing 1,17000 units.

The power pilferers including 10 from Multan circle, 16 from DG Khan circle, 6 from Vehari circle, 13 from Bahawalpur circle, 6 from Sahiwal circle, 14 from Rahim Yar Khan circle, 7 from Muzaffargarh circle, 3 from Bahawalnager and 15 power pilferers have been caught from Khanewal circle.

The Mepco task force have also got registered FIRs against 28 power pilferers with the police stations, sources added.
