Mepco Upgrades 541 Transformers During Fiscal Year
MULTAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 15th Nov, 2017 ) :The Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) has upgraded 541 transformers at a cost of over Rs 107 million during fiscal year 2017-18 for providing new connections to consumers and system improvement.
The transformers which were upgraded included 15 transformers of 10 to 25 KV, 31 of 15 to 25 KV, 112 of 25 to 50 KV, 225 of 50 to 100 KV, 73 of 100 to 200 KV, 4 of 25 KVA, 24 more of 50 KVA, 52 of 100 KVA and five more of 200 KV.
The company has enhanced capacity of 64 transformers at a cost of over Rs 14 million in Multan circle, 46 transformers at a cost of over Rs 4.
3 million in DG Khan circle, 11 in Vehari circle at a cost of Rs 13 million, 256 in Bahawalpur circle at a cost of Rs 12 million, 69 in Rahim Yar Khan circle at a cost of about Rs 21 million, 27 in Muzaffargarh circle at a cost of over Rs 7.9 million, 52 in Bahawal Nagar circle at a cost of over Rs 8.9 million and 16 transformers were upgraded in Khanewal circle at a cost of over Rs 4.4 million from July-2017 to October-2017, said a release issued here on Wednesday.
