MEPCO Recovers Over Rs 996.6 Mln From 86,674 Defaulters
MULTAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 17th Jul, 2018 ) :Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) launched a drive against willful defaulters and recovered over Rs 996.6 million from 86,674 defaulters during the fiscal year 2017-18.
In line with special directions of Chief Executive Officer MEPCO Engineer Muhammad Akram Chaudhry, the MEPCO team launched operation in 13 districts of the South Punjab from July 2017 to June 2018.
According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, the MEPCO teams recovered Rs 230 million from 18,250 defaulters of Multan circle, Rs 120 million from 9426 defaulter of DG Khan circle, Rs 69.
9 million from 4509 defaulters of Vehari circle, Rs 111.5 million from 15,161 defaulters of Bahawalpur circle, Rs 69.1 million from 5744 defaulters of Sahiwal circle, Rs 16.5 million from 10,441 defaulters of Rahimyar Khan circle and Rs 129 million had been recovered from 11,249 defaulters of Muzaffargarh circle.
Similarly, outstanding dues of Rs 66.5 million had been recovered from 5989 defaulters of Bahawalnager circle and Rs 72.5 million from 5905 defaulters of Khanewal circle, the release added.
