CM Announces Rs 1 Mln For Position Holder Blind Student

LAHORE, Dec 1 (Muzaffargarh.City – 01st Dec, 2016 ) : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has announced financial assistance of Rs 1 million for position holder blind student belonging to backward village of Muzaffargarh, Amir Shehzad and his family.

According to a handout issued here on Thursday, the Chief Minister appreciated the talent, hard work and wisdom of the student and said that besides this, the government would also bear all educational expenditure of Amir Shehzad while financial assistance of Rs 1,000,000 would be for look after of Amir Shehzad and his family.

He said that talented girl and boy students belonging to families with no resources were an asset of the nation who did not give up in difficult circumstances and prove their worth by displaying outstanding performance in examinations.

They also displayed better performance as compared to the children of the elite, he added. Shehbaz Sharif said the Punjab government was implementing a comprehensive programme for polishing abilities of such students and Punjab Educational Endowment Fund was playing an important role for enhancing their capabilities.

He said that Amir Shehzad got a prominent position through hard work in difficult circumstances, which was appreciable.
