Assistant Superintendent Jail Arrested On Corruption Charges

FAISALABAD, (Muzaffargarh.City – 10th Mar, 2017 ) : The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has arrested Assistant Superintendent Jail Zafar Iqbal, currently serving at District Jail Sahiwal, on charges of bribe amounting Rs 80,000 from a citizen.

A spokesman for ACE said here on Friday that a citizen Gulmam Murtaza, a resident of Muzaffargarh, filed a complaint against Assistant Superintendent District Jail Toba Tek Singh Zafar Iqbal, alleging that the official received Rs 80,000 bribe from him for an official work.

After an inquiry, a case was registered with the Anti-Corruption Police Station Toba Tek Singh under FIR No 22/2015 and judicial action was approved after investigation of the case. Circle Officer Anti-Corruption Ghulam Rasool arrested the accused from Sahiwal.
