Monitoring Teams To Act On Violations Of Election Code Of Conduct

MUZAFFARGARH, (Muzaffargarh.City – 27th Jun, 2018 ) -:District Monitoring Officer (Elections), Deputy Commissioner Qaisar Saleem directed monitoring teams to maintain close liaison with civil society representatives, people of the Constituencies concerned and media to closely monitor the elections.

Monitoring teams should convey to high-ups immediately after noticing any violation of the election code of conduct, Qaisar Saleem said while presiding over a meeting of members of monitoring teams here Wednesday.

DPO Faisal Shahzad, District Election Commissioner (DEC) Chaudhry Muhammad Akram, additional deputy commissioner finance and planning Dr Saifullah Bhatti, ADC (Revenue) Ata ul Haq, AC Muzaffargarh Zahoor Hussain Bhutta, AC Alipur Imran Shams, AC Jatoi Aurangzeb, DSP Muhammad Imran and monitoring teams’ members attended the meeting.

DC/DMO said that monitoring teams have been formed for each provincial assembly constituency in the district to ensure that candidates during the election campaign fully honour the code of conduct.

ADC finance and planning said that monitoring teams would visit their respective constituencies daily and submit report to the office of DMO.

ADC (Revenue) Ata ul Haq said that monitoring team members should remain in contact with each other for effective monitoring.

DPO Faisal Shahzad said that police will remain available wherever required to assist the administration in holding elections in peaceful manner.
