8 Development Schemes Worth Rs 8400.146mln Okayed

LAHORE, (Muzaffargarh.City – 10th Feb, 2017 ) : The Punjab government on Friday approved eight development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 8400.146 million. These schemes were approved in the 52nd meeting of Provincial Development Working (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 here.

The approved development schemes included: Construction of Building of Government College Women University Sialkot on Acquired Piece of Land at Sialkot at the cost of Rs 1994.841 million, Extension of Building Lahore at the cost of Rs 1371.260 million.

Construction of Jhelum City Flood Protection Bund along Right Bank of River Jhelum Upstream GT Bridge. FERRP Irrigation Component at the cost of Rs 1672.527 million. Selected Reaches of Jhang Flood Protection Bund RD 0+000 to 64+000 and Thatta Mahala Flood Bund from RD 0+000 to 31+000, Jhang.

FERRP Irrigation Component at the cost of Rs 525.044 million, Remodelling of Right Embankment of Shujabad Branch, Camp; Nawabpur Flood Bunds, . FERRP Irrigation Component at the cost of Rs 893.439 million.

Remodelling of Muzaffargarh Flood Bund RD 0+000 to RD 188+000 (FERRP Irrigation Component) at the cost of Rs 876.449 million; Remodelling of Left Marginal Bund (LMB) RD 1+500-80+000 Taunsa Barrage, Muzaffargarh (FERRP Irrigation Component) at the cost of Rs 441.944 million and Protection of Chandar Bhan Flood Bund RD: 55+000 to RD: 67+000 Ali Pur District Muzaffargarh at the cost of Rs 624.642 million.

Provincial Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, Members of the Planning & Development board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
