101 Pilferers Caught In South Punjab

MULTAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 29th May, 2019 ) ::Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) caught 101 pilferers during operations throughout South Punjab in a day, an official said on Wednesday.

MEPCO teams raided different places in Multan, Vehari, Sahiwal, Rahimyar Khan, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalnagar, Khanewal, and Dera Ghazi Khan besides detecting theft of 325,000 units, the MEPCO spokesman said.

A sum of over Rs 4.6 million was imposed as fine on pilferers while FIRs were got registered against six of them.

The data showed that 11 power pilferers were caught in Multan, 21 in Dera Ghazi Khan, 17 in Vehari, five in Bahawalpur, six in Sahiwal, seven in Rahimyar Khan, 21 in Muzaffargarh, four in Bahawalnagar, and nine were caught in Khanewal.
