Public Money To Be Spent In Transparent Manner: Aleem Khan

LAHORE, (Muzaffargarh.City – 14th Nov, 2018 ) :Punjab Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan Wednesday said that public money would be spent transparently on the welfare of masses.

He said this in a meeting with Chairman of Akhuwat Dr Amjad Sakib here. He offered his cooperation to Akhuwat for poverty alleviation programme and took detail briefing on the models of low cost housing and other projects of the organization.

He said the government had to ensure public funds to be utilized properly without any malpractice.

Abdul Aleem Khan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had unique example of working in the social welfare sector and he was given record donations at international level.

He appreciated the performance of Akhuwat in different sectors and assured that no project would be closed for any personal reason.

He said that unfortunately the previous regime started a number of projects just for getting corruption and commission but the present government had determination to put the country on road to progress and prosperity for which uplift of social sector was important.

The senior minister said that Punjab was also facing big challenges but these challenges would be met in minimum possible time.

He called upon other organizations working on the pattern of Akhuwat to come forward and join hands with the government for welfare activities.

Abdul Aleem Khan said that new local bodies system would also provide opportunities to undertake welfare projects with more prompt and at large scale.

He lauded the efforts of Dr Amjad Sakib in micro loaning and other schemes and assured him full cooperation from the provincial government.

Earlier, the chairman Akhuwat apprised the minister about the different projects including micro loan scheme.

He said that so far an amount of Rs 72 billion had been disbursed as loan while the recovery rate was 99.99 per cent which was a record for any institution.

He said that Akhuwat worked as Public Private Partnership with the Punjab government and ready to work together in future also.

Member National Assembly from Muzaffargarh Sardar Amer Gopang also called on the Senior Minister and discussed a number of issues regarding his area.

He said that people had high hopes from the present government. Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan assured him full cooperation and immediate action for solving the problems of his area as well.
