LAHORE, (Muzaffargarh.City – 28th Oct, 2018 ) :Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) closed down 208 outlets of quacks during the last week in its anti-quackery drive on the orders of Supreme Court.
The PHC teams visited 1,048 treatment centres in two each tehsils of 10 districts, and Nishter Town of Lahore.
They checked 105 centres in Bahawalpur, 104 in Muzaffargarh and 102 in Kasur.
The data showed that at 369 quack premises, businesses had been changed. The sealed outlets included 32 in Gujranwala, 30 in Okara and 23 in Kasur.
The spokesperson said that since April this year, the PHC teams visited 22,799 treatment centres, sealed 6,549 outlets of quacks, whereas 6,974 quack businesses had been replaced with other trades. In Lahore 897, Faisalabad 516 and 448 centresin Gujranwala had been closed down.
