MULTAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 26th Nov, 2018 ) ::Food safety teams of Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Monday sealed 19 food points in Multan and other districts of South Punjab on violation of food safety guidelines.
Food safety teams also imposed overall Rs 320,000 fine on many other food points on violations of guidelines which were issued earlier.
The food points sealed also included an outlet of an international brand food chain, McDonald’s, in Rahimyar Khan due to absence of record of use and change of cooking oil.
In Bahawalpur, PFA teams sealed Data restaurant and milk centre on presence of cat in kitchen, absence of medical of employees and unhygienic conditions.
Moreover, Umair foods in Rahimyar Khan, Mr Foods in Layyah, Mian Arshad Foods in Bahawalnagar and Saleem foods at Bahawalpur were also sealed.
PFA teams also sealed food points in other districts. PFA imposed heavy fines on many other food points in Multan, Layyah, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Rajanpur and other areas of South Punjab.
Over 8000 kilogram of expired food items and spices were also destroyed during operations in Multan division.
