MULTAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 28th Apr, 2019 ) ::Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) installed 1701 kilometre high tension (HT) lines and 1399 kilometre Low Tension (LT) lines during the current fiscal year 2018-19.
According to Mepco sources, it is top priority of Mepco to provide early new connections and electricity with best voltage to the customers. The administration have installed 1701 km high tension lines for the upgradation of system and to provide electricity with best voltage to customers. The total length of the HT line reached to 75577 km in the region. The Mepco administration had also installed 1399 km low tension (LT) line during the same period and the total length of LT lines reached to 49959 km across region.
From July 2018 to March 2019, the HT line including 129 km HT and 37 km LT lines installed at Multan circle, 158 Km HT and 75 km LT line in DG Khan circle, 233 km HT and 12 km LT lines in Vehari, 304 km HT and 27 km LT lines in Bahawalpur, 366 km HT and 10 km LT lines in Sahiwal, 75 km HT and seven km LT lines in Rahim Yar Khan, 108 km HT lines in Muzaffargarh, 153 km HT and 42 km LT lines in Bahawalnager while 171 km HT lines and 1185 km LT lines have been installed in Khanewal circle, Mepco sources added.
