Girls Outshine Boys In BA/BSc Examinations

MULTAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 15th Aug, 2017 ) : Girls outshines boys in BA/BSc examination 2017 held under the auspices of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU). Beenish Iqbal (roll # 43143) of Punjab College Multan grabbed overall first position by securing 723 marks while Sundas Fatima (roll # 39066) of Govt College for Women, Khanewal secured second position by getting 722 marks and third position was bagged by Syeda Amina Batool (roll # 42854) of City College of Science and Commerce Multan and Sania Fazal ( roll # 46750) Govt College for Women, Muzaffargarh.

Both got 707 marks. In Arts Group, Muhammad Abdullah (roll # 6378) of Govt College, Burewala stood first by securing 651 marks, while Iram Mukhtiar (roll # 1518), of Govt College for Women, Jalapur Pirwala bagged second position by getting 641 marks and third position went to Zia urRehman (roll # 14801), a private student, who secured 638 marks.

The prize and medals awarding ceremony was held at IMS Hall of BZU here on Tuesday. According to gazette notification, a total of 47171 candidates appeared in the examination, of whom 18633 candidates were declared successful showing an overall pass percentage of 39.50.

In BA examination, the percentage stood at 31.41 while in BSc it remained 52.33. Addressing the ceremony, Acting VC BZU, Dr Bashir Ahmad, appreciated the position holders, their parents, teachers and organizations for their excellent performance.

He announced to offer free-of-charge admission to position holders in the BZU. Parents, students, Deans and chairmen of different departments of BZU attended the ceremony.
