MULTAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 30th May, 2017 ) : National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) Director Naveed Elahi Sheikh said that distribution companies were resolving tariff and billing issues on priority basis.
At an open court (Kachehry) here at Mepco headquarters along with Mepco Chief Engineer (customer service) Mehmood Ahmed Khan on Tuesday, he said that it was top priority to resolve consumer complaints early and different steps were being taken for this purpose.
He said that complaints related to billing of Mepco were less as compare to other power distribution companies. On this occasion, Chief Engineer said that CEO Mepco had started holding open courts to resolve complaints, adding that the Company took action against several officials over wrong billing.
Both officers issued on the spot orders to resolve 44 complaints received from Sahiwal, Rahimyar Khan, Muzaffargarh and DG Khan circles.
