Delegation Of Turkish Companies Calls On CM

LAHORE, Sept 29(Muzaffargarh.City – 29th Sep, 2017 ) : The heads of Turkish companies and high officials attending the Pak-Medica Health Exhibition on Friday called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

On the occasion, the Turkish companies assured of their investment and cooperation in improving the healthcare system of Punjab. The agreement of Hospital Management Information System was also signed between Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab and Turkish companies Havelsan- Sisoft.

Under this agreement, the Turkish companies would introduce Hospital Management Information System in Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant and Research Centre. The first phase of this system would be completed by December 2017.

Mr. Mujahid Sherdil, the CEO of IDAP and Ms. Zeynip Arzu Celik signed the agreement on behalf of respective sides. On the occasion, the chief minister said the growing cooperation between Turkey and the Punjab government in the healthcare sector would benefit the ailing humanity and the Turkish cooperation will also help in improving the healthcare facilities.

He said the participation of Turkish companies in large number in the Pak-Medica Health Exhibition was praiseworthy and the growing cooperation resulting due to exhibition and meetings would be given practical shape.

During the last many years, new avenues of cooperation have been opened between Pakistan and Turkey and economic cooperation has been promoted as well. He said the cooperation of Punjab and Turkey with regard to medical and healthcare was a wonderful model.

He pointed out that the Turkish government provided tremendous support to their Pakistani brethren during the worst ever floods of 2010. A 60-beds hospital has been established in Muzaffargarh with Turkish collaboration and the Punjab government has extended the capacity to 120-beds.

Now, a further expansion of 250-beds is being made and necessary resources have been provided by the Punjab government to increase the bed-capacity. He said the people of Pakistan and Turkey were conjoined together in the historically strong relations of brotherhood, love and affection.

He said the Sultan Fateh Hospital of Istanbul and the General Hospital of Lahore were being made twin-hospitals and it would help to further improve the healthcare facilities in the General Hospital.

“I pray to Almighty Allah that the flowers like Sultan Fateh Hospital grow in our garden as well,”he added. He said the Punjab government had decided to set up new hospitals under the public private partnership model and added that Turkish companies had assured to establish hospitals.

He said the regime of introducing Hospital Management Information System in the first public sector hospital of Pakistan had been started with the signing of the agreement today and hoped that this system will tremendously boost the quality of services for the patients.

“We all will collectively work expeditiously to provide the best of the best healthcare facilities to patients and Turkish healthcare system is marvelous and we will provide every possible support to the Turkish companies”, he said.

The chief minister directed to constitute a joint committee comprising of officials of Punjab government and heads of Turkish companies to regularly review the growing cooperation in healthcare sector.

The heads of Turkish companies appreciated the efforts of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif for development and betterment of healthcare system. They added that Shehbaz Sharif feels for the ailing humanity and his reforms for the betterment of Punjab’s healthcare system are commendable.

They said:” You are our brother and we have not come here for any business, but to help our brothers and we would be happy to help our brothers”. Consul General of Turkey and heads of Turkish companies, provincial ministers, including Tanveer Aslam Malik, Kh Salman Rafiq, Kh Imran Nazir, Advisor Dr Umer Saif, Spokesman Punjab government Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, Chief Secretary, medical experts and concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
