MULTAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 17th Sep, 2018 ) :Irrigation department and villagers successfully plugged a breach on the western bank of Muzaffargarh canal in Alipur Shumali area on Monday.
The breach occurred in early hours of Monday and people conveyed information to irrigation department.
Fields and fish farms got inundated although water level in the canal was quite low than usual due to ongoing work on lining of the canal.
The breach was plugged in almost five hours.
The villagers appealed to the government to compensate their losses.
