MUZAFFARGARH, July 5 (Muzaffargarh.City – 05th Jul, 2017 ) : Police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested 19 drivers for installing sub-standard gas cylinders in their vans and impounded their vehicles.
The campaign was in progress under supervision of DSP traffic Rais Khan.
DPO Awais Ahmad Malik had ordered the initiative after six passengers had died few days ago when cylinder of a van caught fire in Muzaffargarh near Head Muhammad Wala.
Traffic police also took five route permits and a driving license in possession to initiate proceedings for their cancellation. Officials said that the campaign against passenger vehicles fitted with illegal and substandard cylinders will continue.
