14 Food Points Sealed, Rs280,000 Fine Imposed On Units In Multan

MULTAN, (Muzaffargarh.City – 9th Nov, 2018 ) :The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Friday sealed 14 food points and imposed Rs 280,000 fine on others on violation of food safety guidelines in the city, its suburban areas and surrounding districts.

A PFA spokesman said that food preparation units sealed included six sweets and production units, two chips factories, a sauces preparation unit, a meat sale point, a dairy unit, a grocery, a unit extracting oil from chicken waste material, and a fast food point. The operation covered Multan, DG Khan, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh and Rahimyar Khan districts.

Moreover, a number of food points were fined worth Rs 280,000 over violating food safety guidelines.

A large quantity of different food items were also destroyed, the spokesman said.
